WHAT’S REALLY NEW
Cool news, its true, I got a vibe…a vibraphone that is. Welcome to a very big part of the future of Future of Forestry. I have been compelled over the past few months that it is time to do something very new (instrumentally) in worship music. Ever heard a vibraphone in worship music? I haven’t. That’s part of what inspired me. But also, it has this sonorous, celestial, and pure sound to it that seems to just envelop you. My heart is to use that to draw us all into experiencing God. Hence this huge 4 octave mallet instrument taking up a quarter of my home! (see picture…also good for sleeping on)
FUTURE OF FORESTRY LIVE IN DECEMBER
As you can see, no shows are posted for the summer due to studio work. Being home mixing and producing other artists has been a healthy change. I’ll be doing that until November when I’ll crawl out of the studio hole I’m in to do some concerts and lead worship before Christmas. You like Christmas songs? If so, keep in touch.
MUSICIANS WANTED
My vision for Future of Forestry is to kind of create a community of musicians that want creativity to grow like a deep forest. Remember the Psalm (96) about the trees of the forest singing? I want FOF to be something that is beyond me, beyond a band, beyond the sum of all parts, ultimately worshiping and experiencing God. I’m looking for musicians around southern CA that are interested in being a part of that community by playing with FOF live or on recordings. I would love one show to have a string section, and another on a different day to have a French horn or something else…something constantly changing. Guitarists, strings, winds, percussion, etc. If you’re interested, please email your info to eric@futureofforestry.com.

As some of you have noticed, we have a picture section right below this. The cool thing about it is that you can add your own pictures to it! It's pretty easy to do.
Step 1. Make a flickr.com account
Step 2. Upload your Future Of Forestry images to it
Step 3. Put the tag "foffangallery" on all of the ones that you want to show up on the site
Now you can finally put a use to those pictures you took at a Future of Forestry show!

The Credential Tour is almost here! This thursday Dizmas, Edison Glass, Future Of Forestry, and Lost Ocean begin their tour across the west coast. They put together a Credential Tour EP that is free when you sign up at their website (which is also free). So be sure to take advantage of that little goody.
